Healing Through ArtFest August 8, 2026

Come join us on Saturday, August 8 at the Spring Green General Store, 137 South Albany St., Spring Green, WI from noon to four for Healing Through ArtFest!

This year we are excited to announce that we will be holding a third festival: Healing through ArtFest on Saturday August 8th, 2026 from noon to 4 pm. This festival is co-hosted by Karin Miller (owner/founder of the General Store) and her daughter, Caitlin Miller, who is a therapist-artist.

What if instead of healing in the privacy of the therapy room, we healed in community with each other? Healing through ArtFest is a multi-disciplinary art festival where we can come together in these trying times to build relationships with each other, share our stories of healing, and have some fun along the way.

We are honored to be hosting vendors including: Kindled Community Sauna (sauna + plunge pool), Poetry Pop Up with Marnie Dresser, Trillium Print Studio live screen printing, Emerald Acorn Tarot, Roger Reynolds Playing With Fire- Artfully, North Earth Crystals and Gifts (crystals, gifts, and kids section), and Heart of the Sky Fair Trade (accessories, beadwork, and textiles from Guatemala).

We have a wonderful line up of diverse performers including: MadCity Ukes (Ukelele chorus), Caitlin Ruby Miller of @Femchantment (original music written for this event), An Earth Song Story: Cecilia Farran & Bob Dries, Anita (solo singer/guitarist), Neil Knutson (solo singer/guitarist), Grace Vosen and the Creeks Don’t Rise: Songs of Love and Home, Nath Dresser (singer/songwriter), Banjolele Ladies (Banjolele chorus), Kit Mayer, Patrick Michaels of Ark Music, and Janet Schiff of The Cellos of 1913. The emcee is Driftless Grace, local writer/singer/APT member, who is also a recipient of an RV Arts grant this year for her writing project!

One could say that the antidote to the loneliness epidemic is bringing people together to express themselves authentically, make new connections, and foster joy in these trying times. We aim to do just that at Healing Through ArtFest. This event was inspired by Sophie Strand’s Essay “Make My Healing A Party Everyone is Invited To.” We aim to do just that!

This project is made possible by a grant provided by River Valley ARTS and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.

We invite you to participate in or attend our 3rd festival, “Healing Through ArtFest,” which we are hosting in the backyard at the Spring Green General Store on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 from noon to 4 p.m.

Healing Through ArtFest” will be held on August 8, 2026 from noon to 4 pm in the backyard of the Spring Green General Store.

The theme is healing in community (rather than isolation), inspired by Sophie Strand’s Essay, “Make My Healing a Party Everyone is Invited to.” (link)

We are ELATED to bring this vision to life and come together in joy during trying times as a community through art, connection and healing

Festival highlights include live music and spoken word performance (with a professional sound system), Fire artist Roger Reynolds leads us in artful fire making, Kindled Community Sauna + plunge pool, Tarot readings from Chicago-based Emerald Acorn, 43/90 North Earth Vending, Marnie Dresser poetry pop-up, Trillium Print studio screen printing pop-up. More collaborations are in the works- stay tuned for updates on social media and this page!

We are looking for an emcee and volunteers to help.

The theme of this festival is healing in community, instead of in isolation. Caitlin’s experience as both an artist and therapist helped birth the idea of coming together through art, community, conversation, and gathering as a form of healing, finding joy, and bonding together through the trying times we are in. This day is intended for anyone searching to reconnect- through art, more deeply within themselves, and with others. This will be the third festival of the summer at the general store, a few weeks before Beatlefest.

Let Caitlin know if you have any questions and if you are interested in participating. She is happy to help. caitlinrubymiller@gmail.com
